Summer Camp Recreation Program

In collaboration with the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart, the Save Our Street Children Foundation, and the Congregation of Holy Cross, Food For Children helped to sponsor a summer camp recreation program for 80 street children of Baguio City, Philippines.

Summer camp is important because it is the only time during the year that these children do not have to work, and can actually feel like kids and have some fun. Most of these children work evenings (after school) and weekends to supplement their families' incomes.

The Summer Camp experience provides them with 3 balanced meals each day, and group activities, including swimming, talent shows, and sports competitions. We would like to continue sponsoring and to expand the summer camp program to open it to more children.
